Short Itinerary Day 1 Arrival

{tab=DAY TO DAY ITINERARY} Day 1 Kathmandu A Spirit representative will welcome you at Tribhuvan airport and transport you to your Kathmandu hotel. They will later join you for a welcome drink and cover off any questions you may have and give you any helpful tips for you time in Kathmandu. Day 2-4 Sightseeing Tour Your first day will be spent on a guided tour of the amazing city sights and scenes of Kathmandu. You will visit Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Monkey Temple, the famous Hindu temple – Pashupatinath and the largest Stupa in Nepal – Boudha. A relaxing breakfast in Kathmandu and then off around the rim of the Kathmandu valley finishing at Nagarkot to catch the glorious sunset over the Himalaya Mountains. An early rise to see the sunrise before driving back to Kathmandu via the medieval town of Bhaktapur and Buddhist town of Patan, often referred to as the “City of Beauty”. Day 5-6 School Visit With 7 hours drive and stay at the one of the typical village at Ashrang Gorkha and explore the area and observe the site (school) that CEN UK supported. Next morning after breakfast drive to Pokhara and spend the day soaking up the natural beauty of this lakeside town and the views of the Annapurna mountain range. Day 7 Pokhara Sightseeing A short drive to Sarankot and the start of short walk for the beautiful views of the Annapurna range. The mountain views continue to improve and a superb view of Pokhara lake is seen as you reach Sarangkot (1592m). Treat yourself to a morning sunrise view before breakfast and start the gentle trek back down to lakeside passing several places where women work at handlooms. Reaching Pokhara just in time for lunch and spend the afternoon drinking a well earned cappuccino by the lake and seeing the sites of Pokhara. Day 8-10 Royal Chitwan National Park A morning drive gets you to the Royal Chitwan National Park for early afternoon. After settling into the grand Temple Tiger resort, which is inside the park you will be given a briefing from your nature guide. To see the wildlife at their best will require early morning and late afternoon excursions and you are asked to comply with the schedule for your own advantage! An elephant safari, a jungle walk, the Tharu village tour, bird watching and the canoe river trip are the activities you will do to maximize your chances of seeing the following wildlife - rhino's, Bengal tiger's, wild boar, leopard's, crocodiles, sloth bear's, spotted/barking deer's and 450 species of birds. A morning drive returns you to Kathmandu in time for an afternoon shopping out on the town!
