I rang Phil last minute to see if he could arrange that I be at Everest Base Camp for my birthday.

Well, what a trip. I flew with Jet Airways, one of the best I have flown with. The hotel was comfortable and the staff very friendly. I joined a few other trekkers and off we went. Everything worked like clockwork and it was an experience I will never forget.

I still cannot believe how cheap the holiday was, I know it is subsidised if you visit the school project (I made a donation due to lack of time) but it was about £500 cheaper than any other trekking company. I may never visit Nepal again but will certainly now try Phils skiing trips.
